Some businesses have reopened after closure to allow rigorous COVID-19 inspections over the weekend.
However, Trisha Tannis, president of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce (BCCI), cautions all facilities to be vigilant and, if necessary, strengthens safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
Tanis told Nation yesterday that companies have enforced many of the rules imposed last year, including temperature checks, hand disinfection, and masking, but have admitted that some areas have relaxed.
“The protocol didn’t stop, but there was some slack, so it makes sense to increase the protocol. I think it was a bit confusing, so whether you still need to check the thermometer and disinfect it manually? May need to be clarified. (TG)
