Ring of Honor
Date: December 23, 2020
Location: UMBC Event Center in Baltimore, Maryland
Pundit: Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman
This is strange because it airs before or after the final battle (eventually scheduled), depending on when the local station broadcasts the show. So I don’t know what to expect here, but this place is a bit of a hit or miss so you can take part in a fun show. Get it.
Dalton Castle doesn’t like Brian Johnson throwing drinks on his face. It’s good that this is in the ring. Because if it was on the street, you would have a battery-filled sock with Johnson’s name on it. The castle has a lot of anger at him, and Johnson looks like a good shape to break.
Brian Johnson is fed up with people talking about how great everything was around here. Why do you talk about the castle when you can talk about him? Castle has already won the world title, then he lay down and lost. It’s time for Johnson to create his own decade of excellence.
Dalton Castle vs Brian Johnson
Castle tried Bang A Rang very early, but Johnson slipped off and was taken to the mat for waist lock. When Johnson sent him out for a dive, it hurriedly broke up. Johnson claims that the peacock doesn’t know what’s coming for him, and there’s a post to defeat the castle again. Going back, the top rope clothesline hits the castle, allowing Johnson to crank his arm during the break.
We come back with a bailed castle on the floor for a break, but only thrown back inside. When the referee catches Johnson’s leg with a rope, there are two slingshot splashes. The arm bar follows, followed by the crank sending the castle’s arm to the mat. The back elbow shakes Johnson, but the clothesline gives the castle a breather.
Johnson snaps his arm to the rope above, but Castle catches him with the rope. There is a knee running that rocks Johnson again, but he first pulls the castle arm up. Going back, the kill shot gives Johnson 2 as the commentary continues to complement Johnson, even though he is annoying. Castle manages to cut off German Suplex, and Bang A Lang finishes Johnson at 10:30.
result: Dalton Castle b. Brian Johnson – Bang A Rang (10:30)
After the match, the castle shakes hands.
After the break, Castle says he has some problems, but all were clicked during the match against Johnson.
LSG talks about how he beat Jay Lethal, but the time limit put a strain on him. If he has to go through Kenny King to establish his legacy, he is ready to go.
Kenny King hasn’t lost to Shane Taylor yet, but he needs to move forward. Back-to-back losses are unacceptable, especially when he sees world and television champions as a stable companion. LSG is good, but hanging with someone isn’t enough yet. King is ready to treat him like the one on the bottom of his shoe. Apparently this match is taking place at the Honorary Club on Christmas Eve.
Matt Taven wants you to buy an honorary club.
Let Titus has had many successes at the Ring of Honor, but he has also experienced many failures. He was the champion, but Kenny King left. Now the Foundation wants to reward him for the fight, and now it’s time to go and deal with someone from his own personal history. It begins with Delirious, the first man to bust him. This is a pure rule match, but Delirious can’t be with him there. A Titus dropkick is waiting for him.
Delicious talks about his history with Titus through subtitles and knows they have to fight again. He doesn’t want anyone to know his motives, but Titus knows him better than others. Delirious has been around Titus for a long time, and as usual tonight, Delirious beats him.
Delicious vs. Let Titus
Pure rules. They go straight to the mat and Titus chases his legs early. It broke up in a hurry, so instead they go to a strength test. With it broken, Titus firefighters carry him to the mat and put him in the arm bar. It’s another standoff, as the fighting continues and neither can go too far.
We take a break and Lett takes him to the mat and immediately returns with a broken front face lock. Titus hits it again for a change and turns off to Chinlock to suppress Delirious. Gattren’s Suplex defeats Delirious, but he pops up behind with a dropkick. The Cobra stretch attempt sends the Titus bail to the rope, so Delirious tries it again. That is, Titus must hurry to burn a second break.
Delicious begins trying to change his arms, ties his arms with his legs, falls back and cranks harder. Titus managed to get up and send Delirious out in a crash, but in the process he used his third rope break. Titus needs to escape using Suplex this time as the cobra stretches back. Belly-to-belly (using the Magnum TA reference) drops Delirious again, but returns with two Cobra Clutch Suplexes. Titus is also back and it’s a drop kick to finish Delirious at 12:24. This is compared to Caprice being kicked by a horse.
result: Let Titus b. Delicious-Dropkick (12:24)
Delirious must freeze his face before they shake hands to finish the show.
