Samsung’s ambitious four-year support cycle includes twice-yearly updates

Just a few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled an exhaustive list of Phone to get 4 years security update.. The announcement was well received, but it was very surprising to see that the list included some cheap budget phones. Samsung is now shedding more light on its four-year software update program, which isn’t good, but there’s another hidden surprise. Despite the 4-year security renewal warranty Some devices only get security updates after 6 months. That is, you only get security updates twice a year.

Midrange oldies and low-priced phones only receive security updates twice a year
