Senator exchanges Cole Sherwood for predators for future consideration – NHL Sports

The Ottawa Senators traded Kole Sherwood to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday and announced it in exchange for future consideration.

Sherwood has scored one goal and four points in 13 games against AHL Senator Bellville this season. After spending the last three seasons at Columbus Blue Jackets, he signed a one-year two-way deal with the team this summer.

The Predators explained that he was an undrafted 6-foot-1, 212-pound forward, winning the 2016 league title in London and scoring a total of 179 points (75g-104a) in 180 games. I am. 24-year-old Sherwood has assisted once in six career NHL games, all using Blue Jackets. He scored 3 goals and 4 points in 9 games against AHL’s Cleveland Monster last season.

He is the brother of Colorado Avalanche Forward Kiefer Sherwood.

Nothing is expected of future considerations, which only opens Ottawa’s contract spot.

Next: Oilers who play Purjuyarubi on the third line for a specific purpose
