Slam Dunk is a future sports game based on the anime of the same name. It’s available by DeNA Hong Kong and will be released on both iOS and Android on November 25th, with pre-registration starting.
Officially licensed from Toei Animation, you can relive the story of the anime in story mode. More than 10 chapters of the original series scenes are included so that you can see the development of Sakuragi Hanamichi, a newcomer to Shohoku basketball.
The game is marketed as a fast-paced 3v3 basketball title, but in reality you have to play different setups. There are half coat 3v3, 1v1 solo match, 2v2 duo, full coat 3v3, full coat 5v5. You can also team up with your peers.
Once that is done, you can participate in the national competition and bid to become the national champion. It consists of a series of 3-minute matches. You can check out Slam Dunk’s gameplay in the video above.
As you would expect from this type of anime tie-up, you can collect characters from the show and add them to the roster. In other words, we can hire human resources with special abilities such as Sakuragi Hanamichi, Rukawa Kaede, Akira Sendoh, and Shinichi Maki. You can also upgrade to further improve your skills on the court.
Slam Dunk will be available for pre-order on the App Store and Google Play prior to its launch on November 25th. This will be a game that you can play for free with an in-app purchase.
