The latest patch from Crysis Remastered optimizes the game for high-end systems

Crysis Remastered has received a chunky 14GB update that improves performance and crushes many bugs. You might have assumed that an update at nearly 75% of the game’s original file size could result in more than just a typical engine optimization, but that’s a mistake.

Prior to the launch of Crysis Remastered, many PC gamers thought it would be easy to handle 13-year-old FPS games on a system with the latest components. Crysis Remastered’s demanding “Canit Run Crysis” mode ensures that this is not an easy task. The latest updates bring many optimizations to make your game run better on high spec systems. There are also improvements made specifically for players using AMD-based systems, but it’s unclear if this is related to the Ryzen CPU or the new line of Radeon GPUs.

Many Crysis fans wanted Crytek to patch many features that were missing from the original game, but the developers seem to be slowly moving through the list. Features such as manual save and load, entire multiplayer mode, and promised support for Nvidia’s DLSS technology aren’t yet visible.

Here are the full patch notes for the Crysis Remastered 1.3.0 update (via Reddit):
