PExile developer Grinding Gear Games has decided to postpone the release date of future extensions to avoid the new release date of Cyberpunk 2077.
The path to asylum expansion was delayed to avoid the launch of Cyberpunk 2077
In a post on the official Path of Exile website, developer Grinding Gear Games announced a delay in enhanced version 3.13 at the end of the game. Initially scheduled for release on December 11, we are currently pushing the release in January 2021 next year.
The reason for the change in release date is due to recent news about Cyberpunk 2077 released on December 10th. GGG explained that this decision was “to prevent players from being in a position to choose between these two games.” This means that 3.13 will release January instead.
However, Players are looking forward to this holiday season as Path of Exile is still getting some “interesting” things during the Christmas / New Year period. Delays do not affect future development schedules, as they give players more breathing space between game releases, not due to development timing.
Previously, we were targeting a December 11 release date for the 3.13 expansion. Yesterday, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10th. We have decided to postpone the release of PathofExile 3.13 until January. https: //t.co/Jw7PXnd4Bf pic.twitter.com/sL3npV4eH6
