The downside of I-Pace’s armor is the improved battery range in 2020, but not yet at Tesla level. Jaguar’s infotainment system lags behind the standard Audi with battery charging capabilities (also not as good as Tesla).

Behind the wheel

The dynamic style of the I-Pace, its attractive handling and energetic performance make it stand out among today’s luxury EVs.

Comfortable with a solid padded seat on the steering wheel, the I-Pace boasts a sleek and stylish dashboard. With crisp and well-managed handling on winding roads, the driving experience is leaning towards the sports side.

At the same time, the ride quality of the I-Pace is surprisingly structured given the sport-oriented nature of the car, in part thanks to the standard air suspension system.

Overall, the I-Pace may not be as sophisticated or sophisticated as its main rivals, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, but its unique design and entertaining driving character are a strong attraction.

Other cars to consider

2021 Audi e-tron— We are big fans of e-tron. Its battery range is inferior, but its sophisticated engineering and finely crafted interiors are not to be missed.

2021 Mercedes Benz EQC— A luxurious and comfortable ride and overall sophistication are the main attractions of this Mercedes EV.

2021 Tesla Model S— With tremendous momentum, the Model S is aging and not as complete as the other top EVs, but it’s still in the spotlight.

Used Tesla Model S— Tesla’s flagship is the only luxury EV that has existed long enough for second-hand prices to become more affordable.

Auto trader advice

The I-Pace S trim is well-equipped and allows buyers to add some desirable features such as adaptive cruise control, but still saves money over the SE model.
