There are no physical Fortnite events scheduled for 2021, Epic Games confirms

Epic Games has confirmed that physical Fortnite events such as the Fortnite World Cup will only be held online throughout 2021.

Epic said he had no plans to meet in person Fortnite Next year’s event as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

The publisher wants to host a foreseeable online-only event, which extends to the largest annual event on the Fortnite calendar, such as the Fortnite World Cup.

More is expected as the season progresses.

“Our intention is to eventually host another global face-to-face tournament, but the priority of such an event is the health and safety of our players and staff,” Epic said in a blog post. ..

“There are still many uncertainties about what is practical and safe, so we have no plans to host face-to-face events such as the Fortnite World Cup in 2021. We will continue to offer online competitions throughout 2021 and some I hope that the physical event in the form will come back at some point in the future. “

What’s the good side? Seemingly less logistics to consider when hosting a physical event allows teams to focus on setting up more online events throughout the year. The publisher says he looks forward to “featuring more weekly tournaments, unique tournaments, and creator cups throughout the year.”

Season 5 has arrived with great success Fortnite Earlier this week, we’ll move on to the story to change the island and introduce some more characters. Doom’s Domain and Stark Industries have disappeared and are replaced by, for example, Pleasant Park and Colossal Coliseum.
