Xbox has released the latest short film as part of the ongoing “Power Your Dreams” campaign for Xbox Series X. This time around, we’re partnering with Thor: Ragnarok (and the upcoming sequel Thor: Love and Thunder) and Jojo Rabbit’s director Taika Waititi.
As detailed on Xbox Wire, this short film was actually offered as part of a survey conducted by the company, including games such as BlindGamerSteve, Americagirl24, Stallion83, Odell Beckham Jr, and Krystal Holmes (also known as MoonLiteWolf). We invited prominent members of the community. Take part in some lucid dreaming experiments that take place after playing Xbox Series X.
Each gamer then partnered with an artist or creator, who created something from their dream data. Beckham Jr. got a custom controller and shoes from Nike, a Stallion 83 custom digital dream art from Quentin Delonzier, and a digital AR dream filter. BlindGamerSteve’s 3D audio adventure story, Emitagirl24 artist Johanna Jaskowska, and finally MoonLite Wolf collaborated with Waititi to make a movie, the former appearing in the resulting “Lucid Odyssey” ad.
You can check the following movies yourself. It also gives you a quick look behind the scenes of a dream study that features all participants and the resulting art. This is the second ad in the ongoing “Power Your Dreams” campaign, following the launch ad for the Xbox Series X starring Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya.
