Candid revelation: Trinny Woodall shared an emotional message with her Instagram followers on Monday, as she spoke about feeling ‘stressed’ and ‘isolated’ in recent weeks
‘I feel I haven’t been in touch recently, and I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life. It’s been a stressful three weeks, which I haven’t kind of shared fully,’ she said in the self-shot footage.
‘Some things there should be a dividing line, really. But I need to be candid with you all that I’ve just felt a lot of pressure and worry.
So I feel today it is the beginning of looking after me and getting myself well, getting myself well, getting my post corona body, which is very tired – when I go for walks I’ve been very tired – to a place of feeling well…’
London-born Trinny then went on to reveal that she had even resumed smoking – a habit she’d ditched back in November – as stress overwhelmed her.

She continued: ‘When I had corona I wasn’t that well, so I lost a bit of weight. But I feel very unfit… So I’m trying to eat well.
‘With the stress of everything, for the last five days I started smoking because it was just a really, really difficult few days. So I see that as a glitch and I’m back to where I was when I’d given up back in November.’
She then fought back tears as she spoke about getting in touch with some of her friends after an extended period of relative isolation.
Trinny said: ‘I had become very isolated and with all these things that I’ve got going on in my personal life, I hadn’t reached out to any friends.
‘I think we sometimes forget the friends we have, and we forget that they’ll pick up the phone to us because we can make our world so small that we just feel we’re on our own. So yesterday, I had a chat to lots of friends. I felt so much better.

‘I told a couple of them what was going and I got identification back of some people who had been through similar stuff and then it was just like, “I’m not on my own.”
‘And also, the other thing I did is I called a couple of friends and I didn’t tell them all the stuff that was going on, but I knew they’d had a tough time.
‘I said, “How’s it going…?” Just to not be thinking 90 per cent in my head space about what I’m dealing with at the moment, so that’s good to do too… They need that support as well.’
While she has dealt with a series of issues, Trinny has said that the lack of having something to look forward to has also been challenging, particularly as she’d planned to take her daughter Lyla, 17, to the US to view universities this year.
‘Everyone has days that are up and down,’ she said. ‘I woke up this morning in England and I opened the paper and it said summer holidays might be in jeopardy, or something.

‘And I think that thing of thinking you’ve got something to look forward to that keeps you motivated is very important for all of us, for anyone, whether you have a job, or children, or don’t have children or you’re with someone or you’re not.
‘And I just thought, “F**k, here we go again.” I was thinking at Easter I’d take Lyla to see the US colleges. She’s desperate to go to an American university. I was thinking, now I can’t do that.
‘But I think there are really good things in my life, and I’m surrounded by a phenomenal team at work.
‘Lyla is 17, a teenager, should be out running around and has this constrained life, which at 17 I did not have… Yesterday, we just left the house… and we just sort of had this afternoon together. [We] went around and got a snack and went to the park.’
In the end, she revealed her commitment to sticking to a new Year’s resolution, which has involved doing things each day that will bring her happiness.
