The two women are the latest people to test positive for the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Barbados.
These cases were identified from 870 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Thursday, May 6th.
During that time, 16 people recovered from the viral illness and were discharged. There are 106 people in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 3931 confirmed cases (1898 women and 2033 men) since March last year from 157 606 tests conducted by the Institute of Public Health. There were 3847 recovery and 45 deaths.
To date, 75,360 people have been vaccinated as part of COVID-19’s national vaccination program. Of this total, 28,467 received both doses. (BGIS)
