Video games have long taken advantage of turning war into gameplay, whether it’s a Carthaginian campaign or not. Empire era Or the dry desert battlefield call of Duty.. But in search of a fun experience, game developers often have to move away from the reality of war and challenge fantasy.
If not, how can they be done? At GDC 2018, Bohemia Interactive’s Andrew Baron saw the war for himself, assisted in the development of military training simulators, and considered a set of best practices to help developers.
