Vin Diesel has joined the developer Studio Wildcard as executive producer of the game Ark2, which he also starred in. As the Hollywood Reporter details, Diesel will be the “President of Creative Convergence” at Studio Wildcard and will play the character Santiago. Is called the “Freedom Fighter” in the Ark 2 and Ark: The Animated Series, which was announced with the sequel at this year’s Game Awards Ceremony.
“We are excited to join the Studio Wildcard team to develop the story both in-game and in the new animation series,” Diesel said in a statement. Studio Wildcard CEO Doug Kennedy also added that Diesel “played 1000 hours of Ark: Survival Evolved” and “has a deep understanding of the game,” explaining the arrival of the surprise trailer last week. It’s worth noting that this is not the first foray into diesel game development. Hollywood actors founded Tigon Studios in 2002 and contributed to the development of The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Wheelman, Fast & Furious Crossroads. For more information on Ark 2, see the game announcement article, which delves into everything you need to know from prehistoric movie trailers. In 2017, he reviewed Ark: Survival Evolved, earning 7.7 and promoting “a great moment of battle with prehistoric beasts.”
