Tottenham’s signing of Joe Rodon is allegedly helping Swansea strengthen their team.
The Spurs signed Welshman from the championship side at the end of the final transfer window.
Rodon was arguably the most valuable player on the team at the time, and the club was initially looking for a lot of money to allow him to join Tottenham.
Daniel Levy negotiated hard and signed him for £ 11m, and Swansea was criticized for selling him very cheaply.
Julian Winter, the club’s chief executive, revealed that the move helped them become a better team by signing some of the key players who improved them.
He said it’s easy to discuss player valuations, but the fact remains that they got a fair deal on the sale of Rodon and helped them move forward as a team.
Winter said BBC: “Everyone can discuss a player’s rating, but depending on what it did, we were able to put in 4 players and 3 permanents. This is a big thing in the right direction. It’s a step, “Winter told the BBC Radio Wales.
“That made the team stronger.”
Rodon has not yet established himself as a regular at Tottenham, but he was impressed with some of the games he played for the club.
