It was a fun day to be a fan of the San Diego Padres, but what about the rest of us? The Padres front office has been heavily influenced by the starting pitcher trading market for the past 24 hours.

On Sunday night, Padres agreed to buy Blake Snell from Tampa Bay. Tonight, they are finalizing another deal to add Yu Darvish from the Cubs. It’s quite 24 hours for AJ Prelar and Company.
So what kind of rotation pieces remain in the free agent and trade markets? I watched the video below.
This free agent class was pretty soft when it came to starting pitchers, but it got even weaker when Marcus Stroman and Kevin Gausman accepted the qualifying offer. The trade market was also thinned as Lance Lynn, Snell and Darvish were all traded.
