Williams Formula 1 test driver Roinissani has joined DAMS to complete the 2021 season FIA Formula 2 team lineup.

Israeli drivers will team up with France’s top operations in the third campaign of the F1 feeder series, which raced against Trident last year and Campos in the 2018 rookie season.

Last season he finished 19th in the F2 ranking and 8th in the Spa-Francorchamps feature race.

Nissany DAMS drive confirmation arrives After Williams announced Earlier this month, his service as a test driver for the Globe-based team will continue until 2021.

“I’m excited to be part of a highly respected team like DAMS,” said Nissany, who drove DAMS in the F2 postseason test last December.

“They have a great history at this level and have a good reputation in Formula 2, so I’m excited to be able to participate.

“Last year’s post-season testing has already done some powerful work and we look forward to the start of the season in March.

“We hope to fight in front of the field. We believe we are on a very exciting journey and we want to get started.”

DAMS co-owners Gregory and Olivier Driot are impressed that Nissany is already on the team.

“In the post-season test in Bahrain, I already had the opportunity to work with him and it worked very well. I’m happy with his feedback.

“He gelled with the whole team, especially the engineering staff, so it’s great to see the connections already established.

“Now it’s up to us to provide him with the best tools to realize his potential.

“We are really looking forward to launching this new campaign with Roy and helping him achieve the powerful results he deserves.”
