The Wonderful 101 is one of the cool and weirdest projects of Bayonetta and Nier: Automata’s Studio PlatinumGames, but it’s always been a bit fragmented and hard to come by, not just because it was once dedicated to the Wii U. The Wonderful 101: Remastered introduced the game to PC earlier this year. There is a demo now and you can see if it suits you.
The Wonderful 101: Remastered Wonder-Size Cadet demo is now available on Steam (and associated consoles), includes all of Prologue and Operation 001, and developers estimate it to be “about 2 hours of gameplay.” The demo includes additional bonuses such as additional in-game currency and support items, and progress will be carried over to the entire game.
In the demo, you can play as Bayonetta from the beginning. Updating the entire game will add a “Wonderful Code” feature that allows you to unlock by simply entering the code “UMBRANGIFT”. Previously, to get Bayonetta, you had to complete all the most difficult tasks in the game, or complete the game and enter a button combo and spend a lot of currency.
You can also use the “ANGEL SLAYERS” code to unlock Jeanne and Rodin and increase your tie-up with Bayonetta. The developers said in their announcement that more code would be available in the future.
