WWE is sending WrestleMania-worthy cards to Saudi Arabia – WWE Sports

WWE began trading with Saudi Arabia in 2018 and has signed a very favorable deal to host an event in Saudi Arabia over the next decade. Given the serious human rights abuses, the suppression of women’s rights and the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the promotion received a lot of bad news about doing business there. While WWE stayed on course, many US companies refused to do business there.

This doesn’t all mention all the controversies about shows in WWE, as in the 2019 case where wrestlers and staff got stuck in suspicious circumstances. Needless to say, whenever WWE hosts an event in Saudi Arabia, it feels sick, to say the least.

That’s part of the reason why the next event is so hard to be held there. Coronation jewelAn absolutely loaded show scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Riyadh. In fact, this is Wrestlemania Valuable matchcards:

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (Universal Championship)
  • Big E (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (WWE Championship)
  • Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks (SmackDown Women’s Championship)
  • RK-Bro (c) vs. AJ Styles & Omos (Raw tag team Championship)
  • Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley (no hold ban)
  • Edge vs. Seth Rollins (Hell Insel)
  • King of the Ring Tournament Final
  • Queen’s Crown Tournament Final

It’s an incredibly deep card. It should be a great show.

It’s just terrible that it’s in Saudi Arabia.
