WWE is very unlikely to get fans involved in Royal Rumble – WWE Sports

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE has been unable to bring live fans to the show since last year. Since August 2020, the company has been holding shows at ThunderDome for virtual viewers.

For several months, WWE has been reported trying to get fans involved in Royal Rumble’s pay-per-view. It doesn’t seem to be happening now.

According to his report by John Alba Live a gimmick podcast, WWE’s current plans do not see a live audience of Royal Rumble.

“Multiple sources indicate that #WWE currently has no plans to have fans in Royal Rumble.”

Aruba used Twitter to elaborate on his report, stating that WWE has no plans to bring fans to Tropicana Field after 17,783 new positive COVID cases were announced Wednesday in Florida.

“As I pointed out, it’s professional wrestling and the plan is subject to change at any time. However, the current January 7th plan does not include fans participating in Tropicana Field. FWIW, Florida, announced 17,783 new positive COVID cases on Wednesday. “

Aruba then said that the few fans in attendance should not be excluded, which would be very difficult.

Given what we’ve seen at CWC, I don’t think a few fans should be excluded, but at this point it’s not included in the card. And, as you said, you may find it difficult to compose a set.

Royal Rumble’s pay-per-view will take place on January 31, 2021 in Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, Florida.
