Geralt’s Swan Rhyme is one of the top spots in generation number 8 and one of the most important games on Xbox One’s quest to provide a game changer across generations. The witcher 3..
After the half-successful Witcher 2 on a home video game console, the CD Projekt Red team returned to the blueprints for the finale of the trilogy. By changing to an open world, The Witcher 3 literally opened up to a world of possibilities and success.
The easiest open-world western RPG to compare is Skyrim. However, the game is actually different day and night, especially Geralt’s performance. He mainly has two swords: a steel sword for humans and a silver sword for monsters and creatures. Healing potions take a long time to drink, and spells need to be prepared in advance.
Geralt is The Witcher – a monster hunter to hire. In Wild Hunt, he is driven to action after his lover, Yennefer’s adopted daughter, Siri, reappears. She disappeared to escape Wild Hunt, a group of supernatural warriors.
But then what happens next is entirely up to you. The Witcher 3 has 36 different endings depending on the character’s results, but the average play time is about 100 hours, and I don’t think as many people as this game have won all 36.
Then there is the extension. Heart of Stone and Blood and Wine are widely regarded as some of DLC’s best works. There’s a reason Witcher 3 will receive the next generation update for the Xbox Series X | S next year. This is just an exceptional game.
All of that and I didn’t even mention Gwent!
Here’s a list of timeless game changers on Xbox One. These are our personal top ten. In our league rankings, we just missed something like DOOM 2016 and Nier: Automata was even closer. We also considered Rise of the Tomb Raider, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Killer Instinct, etc., but neither was too late.
